Lights, Camera, Vaughan: VFF Unveils 2025 Film Lineup at Vaughan Summer Lineup




The Vaughan Summer Lineup 2025 was nothing short of spectacular! Hosted on March 20, 2025, at The Studios at Assembly Park, this event brought together local events, attractions, and community members for an exciting preview of the upcoming summer season in Vaughan. Proudly presented by Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF) and Tourism Vaughan, VSL provided the perfect platform for organizations to showcase their summer programming while fostering community connections.


An Evening of Presentations & Networking


The event was hosted by Virgin Radio’s Sam East, whose energy and enthusiasm kept attendees engaged throughout the evening. VSL featured an insightful presentation area, where representatives from various events and attractions—including Tourism Vaughan, the City of Vaughan, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Assembly Park, Kortright Centre, The Village at Black Creek, Vaughan International Music Festival, Reptilia Zoo, Dance Together Project, The Chef Upstairs, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto—shared their exciting summer plans. Attendees also had the opportunity to explore promotional booths and network in a vibrant atmosphere.


From cultural festivals and family-friendly activities to arts initiatives and outdoor experiences, VSL gave a glimpse into the dynamic summer ahead for Vaughan residents and visitors alike.





VFF’s Big Reveal: The 2025 Film Lineup


The event wrapped with VFF’s much-anticipated film lineup announcement! VFF unveiled the official 2025 International and Student Film selections at 8:30 p.m., setting the stage for an incredible 2025 festival season.



This year VFF received record number film submissions and the 2025 lineup is nothing short of extraordinary, featuring a powerful selection of films that push boundaries, provoke thought, and celebrate storytelling. This year’s lineup showcases talent from across the globe, cementing VFF as a major force in the international short film circuit. The Student Film Competition continues to shine as a pillar of the festival, giving young high school filmmakers across Ontario the platform to launch their future creative endeavours.
